Natalie Wood death Case inquiry Now again!

The renewed look at Natalie Wood's Nov. 29, 1981, death was prompted by new information detectives received about the case, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said Thursday.Homicide detectives have re-opened their investigation Wood's  of  death nearly 30 years after the actress drowned in the waters off Southern California in one of Hollywood's most enduring mysteries. Also on the yacht -- dubbed "Splendour" -- was the boat's skipper ... a man named Dennis Davern who had worked for the Wagner family for years ... but his connection to the story is tenuous.
Here's where it all gets fishy ... a woman on a nearby yacht claimed she heard a woman cry for help around midnight -- and, rumor has it, Wagner and Walken were in a drunken fight aboard the boat at the time.No additional details were provided, but a detective planned to hold a news conference Friday, and anyone with information about the case was being asked to contact sheriff's officials.
Wood drowned after a night of partying with husband Wagner and "Brainstorm" co-star Christopher Walken on the couple's yacht anchored off Santa Catalina Island. Her death was ruled an accident and it was determined that she had been drinking before her death.
A spokesman for Wood's husband at the time of her death, Robert Wagner, said the family trusts the sheriff's department will take appropriate action but has not been contacted about the case being re-opened.
Wood's sister Lana had previously made attempts to have the L.A. County Sheriff's Department re-open the case of her death ... to no avail.
Although no one in the Wagner family has heard from the LA County Sheriff's department about this matter, they fully support the efforts of the LA County Sheriff's Dept. and trust they will evaluate whether any new information relating to the death of Natalie Wood Wagner is valid, and that it comes from a credible source or sources other than those simply trying to profit from the 30 year anniversary of her tragic death," Wagner spokesman Alan Nierob wrote in a statement.
He recounted the night of Wood's disappearance, during which the couple and Walken drank at a restaurant and on the boat. Wood went to the master cabin during an argument between her husband and Walken. The last time Wagner saw his wife, she was fixing her hair at a bathroom vanity and she shut the door.
Wood was 43 when she died, and is currently buried at the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery. Wood's funeral was star-studded ... with attendees like Frank Sinatra, Liz Taylor, Fred Astaire, Gregory Peck, and Sir Laurence Olivier.
The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. will hold a news conference Friday at 11 AM PT.  Of course, we will be livestreaming it.
